One of the predominant regulatory tools is mandated information disclosure. Yet under what conditions does information disclosure work? RegLab has worked extensively on the institutional design of information disclosure. Our work focuses on the pivotal case of food hygiene cards, calorie disclosure, and the institutional infrastructure required for effective disclosure regimes.
