Zaynah Javed is a Research Fellow with the RegLab working on a joint project with the IRS. Prior to her time at Stanford, she graduated with her M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and B.A. in Computer Science and Data Science at UC Berkeley. In her time at Berkeley, her research has focused on safety issues and robustness for artificial intelligence, reinforcement learning, and robotics. Her work has been published at conferences such as ICML and IJCAI. Her interests lie in human-AI interaction and how algorithms can be responsibly and fairly deployed into our always evolving, modern society.
