Mohamed Afane

Research Fellow

Mohamed Afane is a Research Fellow at the RegLab. He received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from ENSAM Casablanca, an M.S. in Energy Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago as part of the Fulbright program, and an M.S. in Data Science from Fordham University. While at Fordham, he worked on research involving LLMs, computer vision, quantum computing, and public health. His current research centers on NLP, with a focus on benchmarking and reasoning in LLMs. More broadly, he is interested in applying AI and machine learning to problems of public interest.
