Joyce is a senior data scientist at the RegLab. She focuses on projects helping local and municipal governments better serve their residents, including improving housing permitting processes, pothole detection, and vehicle routing optimization.

Prior to joining RegLab, she worked as a data scientist with the Vera Institute of Justice, where she worked with governments and activist groups to improve incarceration policy, and at the Bill Lane Center at Stanford, looking at police reforms in suburban California. She previously worked as a policy analyst with the federal government of Malaysia and as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Joyce holds a BA in political science from Yale University and an MA in education and an MA in public policy from Stanford University.
