Emma Harvey is a PhD student in Information Science at Cornell University, where she is advised by Allison Koenecke and Rene Kizilcec. Her research focuses on practical and interdisciplinary approaches for assessing and improving the fairness of sociotechnical systems, with a particular focus on AI auditing. She has previously conducted research with Microsoft Research FATE, the Algorithmic Justice League, the Sloane Lab, and the Compliant and Accountable Systems Group at the University of Cambridge. She holds a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy, Politics, & Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
