Dan Bateyko

(2025) Summer Graduate Student Fellow

Dan Bateyko is a PhD student in Information Science at Cornell University, where he studies how lawyers make sense of artificial intelligence, and how their interpretations shape law and public policy. During his PhD, Dan has collaborated with Princeton’s POLARIS Lab and with the Institute for Law & AI. Before starting the PhD, Dan worked in technology policy at the Center for Democracy & Technology, the Stanford Cyber Policy Center, and the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law, where he now serves on the Advisory Board.  He holds a Master of Law & Technology from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
