Nic Rothbacher is a Data Scientist at RegLab. He received an SM in Technology and Policy and an SM in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. He studied discrimination in policing and algorithmic bias in predictive policing algorithms at the MIT Internet Policy Research Initiative for his thesis work. Nic also has a BS in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Puget Sound and has performed research at the LIGO lab at Caltech and the University of Minnesota.
