Zihan Wei is a PhD candidate in Geophysics at Stanford University advised by Jenny Suckale. He holds a B.Sc. in Geology from Peking University. His research interests include environmental fluid dynamics, volcanology, hydrology, and applying machine learning and remote sensing in sustainable agriculture. In RegLab, Zihan works on the source attribution of surface water pollutants in the Maumee River Basin. Zihan was also a fellow of the Stanford Future Bay Initiative, where he worked on optimizing contact tracing policies for COVID-19 in San Francisco using agent-based modeling.
