Benji Lu is a J.D./Ph.D. student at Yale Law School and the UC Berkeley Department of Statistics. His research interests lie broadly at the interface of machine learning, causal inference, law, and public policy. His work at the RegLab focuses on applying machine learning to assess protected-class disparities. Before graduate school, he was an empirical research fellow at Harvard Law School. He received his B.A. in mathematics and philosophy from Pomona College.
